1. The type of personal information we collect:

We currently collect and process the following information:
• Personal identifiers, contacts, and characteristics:

Contact details; name; email address; billing address; delivery address; phone number; date of birth (where given by you); comments or instructions included on your order; buying history; website analytics.

2. How we get personal information and why we have it.

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

• For the processing of any webshop orders or in dealing with any customer queries.

We use the information that you have given us to fulfil and ensure delivery of your orders, respond to your queries or requests, and for marketing purposes—i.e. inclusion on our mailing list.

We share this information with Mailchimp and Squarespace (our mailing list provider and website provider, respectively) in the process of the above.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

  1. (a)  Your consent. You can remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting charlotte@thequeerbrewingproject.com.

  2. (b)  We have a contractual obligation.

  3. (c)  We have a legal obligation.

  4. (d)  We have a vital interest.

  5. (e)  We have a legitimate interest.

How we store personal information

Your information is securely stored.

We keep all information listed above indefinitely, in the purpose of maintaining sales records and conducting direct consumer marketing. We may dispose of your information if requested by removing your information from our database.

3. CCTV

As part of our license conditions, CCTV is required at our premises and will be kept recorded for up to 30 days in a secure location.

Should you wish to make a subject access request then you should apply via charlotte@thequeerbrewingproject.com with the title heading “CCTV – Subject access”. This should contain at least the following information:

• Date; time; location; reason for access request

4. Your data protection rights.

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

the right to be informed about the collection and the use of their personal data

  • the right to access personal data and supplementary information

  • the right to have inaccurate personal data rectified, or completed if it is incomplete

  • the right to erasure (to be forgotten) in certain circumstances

  • the right to restrict processing in certain circumstances

  • the right to data portability, which allows the data subject to obtain and reuse their personal data for their own purposes across different services

  • the right to object to processing in certain circumstances

  • rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling

  • the right to withdraw consent at any time (where relevant)

  • the right to complain to the Information Commissioner

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
